How to make an appointment
If you know which physiotherapist or clinic you would like to visit then it is best to call the reception directly to make an appointment. If you are unsure then you can check Your Nearest Clinic or call our Head Office 020 7687 7600 to find the most convenient location for you.
What to wear?
Wear comfortable clothes or bring your gym gear.
Can I be accompanied?
Yes. If you wish to be accompanied during treatment or require assistance please speak to your therapist.
How long are appointments?
A Physiotherapy session lasts 30 minutes. If a longer treatment session is required your physiotherapist will discuss this with you prior to booking. (Physiotherapy sessions are charged per half hour.)
Our Free Assessments are fifteen minutes; this is for a consultation only and no treatment will take place during this time.
Premier offer other services and times vary depending on the service required. For more information please contact our Head Office on 020 7687 7600.
Do I need a Doctor's referral?
You do not require a doctor's referral to be seen by a Private Physiotherapist, however if you are claiming through Private Medical Insurance then we recommend you check with your insurance provider prior to booking your appointment as a referral may be necessary on order to claim.
Private Medical Insurance claims
Premier Therapy is recognised by all major Private Medical Insurance companies.
In order for us to bill your health insurance company directly we require all the necessary information at your first session.
- Name of insurance company
- Membership or policy reference number
- Claim authorisation number
- Number of sessions authorised for treatment
- Details of any policy excess
Alternatively you can settle your account directly with us and a suitable receipted invoice will be provided in order for you to submit to your health insurance company for reimbursement.
All of our Physiotherapists are chartered and registered with all major UK Medical Insurance companies. For non-UK insurance companies direct settlement from the patient is required.
Podiatry and Rehabilitation Pilates is covered by some insurance policies. Please check with your insurance company if you are unsure.
Please contact your insurance company for conditions of your policy as we cannot be held responsible for any non-payment of claims or shortfall of treatment fees.
Are you BUPA recognised?
Yes we are. With Premier Therapy there is no need for our physiotherapists' individual recognition numbers as they are listed under our Company BUPA Provider Recognition number: 80003573. It is always important to contact your insurer first to make certain your claim has been opened and fees will be covered. If you have any problems then please contact our Head Office on 020 7687 7600
Is my Physiotherapist Chartered?
Yes. All of Premier's Physiotherapists are chartered. Physiotherapist (or Physical Therapist) is a protected title. This means that anyone using this title who is not a physiotherapist is breaking the law! For a list of protected titles and to verify if a therapist is registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) visit www.hpc-uk.org. As well as being registered with the HPC all Premier Physiotherapists are also registered with their relevant professional body, The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy www.csp.org.uk. This is shown by having the designatory letters 'MCSP' after their name.
Cancellations
All cancellations must be made 24 hours before scheduled appointments or the full fee will be levied.
As we require at least 24 hours notification for all scheduled appointments, could you please call and leave a message at our Head Office on 020 7687 7600 over the weekend, where an answer machine is available. We will contact the therapist so that they will be able to re-schedule an appointment where appropriate.
